Feel Better

Hi Ya!!
I hope everyone enjoyed their Father's Day weekend.  We had a great weekend!  I planned and cooked a very special dinner for the Man of the House!  Both my daughters were home, we had a really nice time...
We even did some crafting.  I made a card for my co-worker and knitty friend who broke her ankle in THREE places a couple of weeks ago.  Who does that?!!  I mean, you have to be pretty talented to brake your ankle in THREE places, right?  She was participating in an obstacle course event (FUN!!) when she had the accident.  Poor thing. (Not really, she's a knitter so once the pain is over, it's sort of a heaven sent vacation). I made her this card...
For this card I let the patterned paper do all the heavy lifting.  Using my Cricut, I cut the tulip image from the Simply Charmed cartridge to compliment the already bold colored flowers.

After I took the pictures for this blog post, I thought it would be nice to add a little sparkle to the whites of the flowers so I added Stickles.  You can see them here...barley. :-(
I snapped this one real quick just to add to this blog post, see me there..that's me, the shadow!  Hi! : - D

Thanks for stopping by today!!!!

Materials Used:
Image:  Cricut - Simply Charmed
Stamp:  Lawn Fawn - On the Mend
Paper: COLORBOK - Hootenany, Papertrey Ink, American Crafts
Embellishments: Stickes

I love that look - it adds dimension - and the flower you chose has the same feel as the ones on the paper.

Such a wonderful summer card to send good wishes to somebody feeling under the weather! And how wonderful that you could enjoy a family dinner with both girls home! Hopefully, you've been able to do that again in the past month!

Oops - I just remembered that your friend had broken her ankle! I suppose she'd still be feeling under the weather. I do hope she's healing nicely!!
