Happy Weekend to you!!

For my card, I used their kraft twine along with the Wild Card 2 cartridge to create this belated birthday card.  I was leaning more towards the masculine side with this, so I tried not to doll it up too much.

Friends Make Life Bearable

Hello :-)
Today I have a card I created over the weekend but didn't have time to get on the computer and post.  I was hoping to get it posted for a challenge by Sunday night, but just couldn't work in the time to sit and get it done.  So I'll see if I can find one or two to enter.  I had fun creating this card and using the My Pink Stamper - That's Punny-licious stamp set.

I used the Create A Critter cartridge to cut out this little bear.

I lined the envelope too so this is what it looks like together.
I'm working on a note card set with matching envelopes.  Hoping to be able to share them with you later this week.  I'm also linking up over at Pink Cricut's Link Up Party

Well, that's it for me.  I have some time off work coming up soon and hoping to get some crafting done and use some of the papers and embellishments from my latest craft shopping excursions.

Entering the following challenges:

Real Sweet!

Hello!
Today is my day to post as Featured Designer for The Scrapbooking Queen and my card today is showing you once again just how much fun it is to work with the Queen Bee stamp set.  This set has so many words and phrases, you can use them separately or together.

I used two of the stamps to create this cute phrase.  My card can be used as a birthday  or thank you card. I don't have a recipient in mind for this one yet, but there is sure to be a birthday or a need for a thank you card soon as many of you cardmakers know you can never have too many of those on hand.

Thank you for stopping by today and remember, The Scrapbooking Queen's stamps can be purchased in her Royal Castle Shoppe 24/7 and in case you haven't heard...The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Castle Shoppe now carries WASHI TAPE!! Woot-Woot!!

Working Girl

Hello, hope you're week is moving along nicely.  I'm just humming along waiting on Friday. :-D

I received an invitation in the mail the other day from a long time friend of mine celebrating her time here in Georgia.  We met through an administrative association, where we're both certified members. She got a job a while back in the city and moved closer to the city so its been years since we've seen each other.  And since I didn't know how to celebrate her 25 years of being in Georgia I decided to make her a card that express our common bond as administrative professionals.
We're both career administrative professionals and I remember she used to collect anything with typewriters or the image of a secretary at a desk and think she'll really like this card.

It's a bit monochromatic I know, but I loved this typewriter paper from Echo Park's-For the Record paper pad, along with this cut from the Sentimentals cricut cartridge it just seemed right.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Oh Happy Day...

Hello!
Happy start of the week to you!  The weekend went by so fast!  I had a lot of little things to get done this weekend that didn't involve crafting so, I only got one card done.  I saw this image on the Florals Embellished cartridge and thought it was such a pretty and colorful butterfly I thought I'd make a card with it.

I'm adding this one to my stash since it can be used as a congratulations card or even a birthday card. I didn't stamp the inside with a sentiment since I'm not sure when or for which occasion I'll use it.  I used the same colors that were in the handbook,  I thought they were fine just the way they were.

So glad you took the time to stop by!

Create a great day!!

Good Friend

Hello!
Hope your weekend is off to a great start.  My weekend is about to be filled with lots of cleaning and organizing items for my local Goodwill.   I was feeling yet again, a bit outside myself and decided to create a card using one of the paisleys from one of my favorite cartridges...Paisley!  Sending this to a really good friend of mine. She's the artsy type so she'll love the paisley.

OMG! I almost forgot!! I'm being featured over at Scrap This, Save That as Amy's Saturday Spotlight designer!  How cool is that?  Amy has started doing a segment each Saturday where she spotlights designers, some new to the blogging and craft world (like me) and some that have been doing it for years.  If you get a chance check it out here

Thanks for stopping by today, I really appreciate it.

JWW, Cinch Binding and A Winner!!

Hello Everyone,
Last Christmas I received The Cinch Binding Tool and was overwhelmed by it and returned it.  Well, lately I've been thinking about how great it would be to gift mini albums and create books.  JoAnns had a sale last week and I decided I'd give it another try.  With the help and encouragement of Amy at Scrap This, Save That, I decided to give it another try.  Amy was kind enough to send over a link to where she created her own blog book. You can see Amy's blog book post here.  Most bloggers show you their perfect and great projects, but because this blog is more of my creative diary and electronic memory book of my blogging and creative journey, I'm sharing my hit and misses.  Here's my very first take on creating a blog book, well a book of any kind. :-)
I started with my papers for my book cover from my own stash, and the blog sheets that go inside (provided by a link on Amy's blog from the original creator of the blog book)

Inside front cover
inside back cover
Then I punched the holes, this was an adventure because there is definitely a trick to lining up the papers correctly to punch the holes.  It took a couple of tries but it worked fine.
the pages I used inside my book as note pages
then I punched the covers - same trick applies.
Although this one didn't turn out perfect.  It's a hit in a miss because there are a few things I would change about it, but all in all its a hit because I like it! Today's Just Wondering Wednesday question is, "Do you know of any great tutorials and projects using The Cinch Bind tool?" If so comment below and let me know.
Well,  thanks for stopping by and checking out my hit and miss binding project.  I'm hoping a few weeks from now I can show you a totally revamped binding project that's a total hit, with no misses
***Winner***
Happy Scrapper!! Christine, please email me your addresss and I'll get your Action Wobbles sent right out.

Thanks everyone for hopping along with us for The Scrapbooking Queen's newest Stamp Release!

Create a great day!!

Sympathy Card and Just Wondering Wednesday

Hello,
Hope you're having a great day! I've been cruising on my blogging lately, but hope to ramp up again here pretty soon. One of my craft buddies brother passed away on Monday.  I'm not certain of what happened, but wanted to get a card out to her to let her know I'm thinking about her.   A few of us that crop together are going to send her lots of love in the way of cards this week and I wanted to share my card with you.

She's such a lively person, I couldn't see making a card for her with dark or even subdued colors.  I chose this green from the DCWV Fresh Floral stack.  I apologize for the poor picture quality, but I made this card last night after dinner and I couldn't find the right lighting.

Now I want to move on to Just Wondering Wednesday.  Beginning this month, Just Wondering Wednesday will be a once a month post.  I will be posting my question on the third (3rd) Wednesday of each month.  I'm also asking if you are Just Wondering something, email me your question and I'll post it so others can chime in and help you get it figured out.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I really appreciate it! Hope you'll come back this weekend.  The Scrapbooking Queen has been away again and that can only mean one thing!!!  Yep, NEW STAMPS!!!

Create a great day!

Up for a Challenge...

Hello!
If you've stopped by my blog this week you may have noticed I was MIA.  I've been busy getting my daughter ready for school next week and it seems time is flying.  This is her senior year and that kid has a laundry list of things for us to buy and do!  Hmmmpf!

One of my creative goals this year is to enter challenges.  I'm creatively shy and rarely enter challenges, but thought I'd throw myself out there and start entering them.  One of my bloggy friends once said to me, "Random.org rarely shows me favor", we'll see if her condition is contagious.

And since entering challenges is on my creative goals list, the only way to get it scratched off is to do it!  So here I go...

Inside of card

I created this card using the Recess Cricut cartridge. I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Simply Create Too - Anything Goes Challenge #19
Die Cuttin Divas - Anything Goes Challenge #76
Thank you for stopping by today!  Create a great day!!
