Simply Sweet Birthday...

Hello Everyone!
I have a quick card for the weekend.  I was able to squeeze in a little crafting time again this week to get a card done - that never happens!  I got my Gypsy back and couldn't wait to use it, so I put it to work immediately.

I used the Smiley Cards cartridge for this card. This cartridge is an oldie but goodie!  I'm sending this to my cousin whose birthday is next week.  She's a lot younger than me, and I think she'll like it a lot.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today!!  Hope you'll come back Sunday for my Featured Designer post for The Scrapbooking Queen!

Create a great day!

Just Wondering Wednesday...

It's Wednesday! It's Wednesday!!
I received the letter from the school informing us that its time for Open House!! Can you believe it?! Two weeks before school starts!  Wednesday may have taken forever to get here, but the start of the new school year is on rocket speed!

In honor of this time of year I want to revisit a similar Just Wondering Wednesday question, but offer a little information too. In today's Just Wondering Wednesday question I want to know, "How Do  You Save Money for Back to School Items?"  I generally buy all year long by keeping the basics stocked, paper, pencils, pens, notebooks, etc., tell me how you do it?

Amy over at Scrap This, $ave That has some really great ways to save money on crafting to allow more "moo-lah" for the things we HAVE to do.  You can click here  to get to Amy's blog   Check out this post where she traded dog sitting for a craft room make over!  Say what?!!

Well, that's going to do it for me today.  Hope you find Amy's blog a big help with your wish list and your wallet.  Be sure to leave a comment with your back to school money saving tip and come back to read what others have to say.  They may answer a question you've been just wondering about!

Made Especially For You~Easel Card Challenge

Hello!
Welcome to the start of the week!  I hope you had a great weekend!

This week over at Made Especially For You, the challenge is to create an easel card!  I love easel cards, but for some reason hadn't made one in a while, hmmmm... I'll have to fix that and create them more often.

Here's the card I made for this week's challenge.  This little froggy thank you card already has a home, its going to my neighborhood tailor.  My skirt, my boss's SUV and well...nevermind, long story. Why are those vehicles so high off the ground anyway?!! (LOL!!!)

And just for fun...I added an action wobble...look at her go!

Our sponsor this week is Paper Piercings by Nikki!!  Our challenge winner will receive a $15 gift certificate to the store!
We hope you'll join in on the fun and create an easel card for your chance to win!  You can get there by clicking here.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Shore Do Miss You...

Happy Friday!

It's Friday and I'm ecstatic by that simple fact!!!  Since I started crafting about a year ago I live for the weekends, but much to even my surprise I found myself with some free time earlier this week after work and decided to sit and make a card.

One of my co-workers recently moved on to a great opportunity for her and her family and I found myself thinking about her and how much I miss her at work.  We sat next to each other and talked fashion, crafts, paint colors, room designs, and occasionally business. LOL!!   She's only been gone for a couple of weeks and I "shore do miss her!"

I cut this lonely little island from Cricut's Pack Your Bags cartridge and used my chevron embossing folder for the water.  The cute punny stamp is from Joy's Life~Pun in The Sun stamps.  I love this set, but then I love punny stamps.

Well, that's my card for today. I'll try to get a better picture tomorrow and add it here later.

On a sad note...my Gypsy stopped doing layers so I had to send it to Provo Craft for a replacement...so I'm patiently (not really patiently, but...) waiting for them to send me the new one. Waaaahhhh!!!

Until the next time, create a great day!
