More Knitting...

Hi Everyone and Happy Christmas!!!

I wanted to pop over to my blog today to share the blanket I made for my Mom.  A few of you asked that I share it here and I thought I would.  Its a very simple set of stitches and I'm happy to report, she loved it!!!!!
I folded it on the bench so you could see how wide it is.
Nevermind that hair, just focus on that awesome pattern. LOL! :-D (It was really windy that day)
I don't know if any if you knit, but its a very relaxing hobby and I have been really enjoying it.  I think it does something for your stress levels too and as a Mom, full time employee, household manager and so much more...knitting is a gift!

The pattern for this afghan can be found at:
You can find the book here on Amazon.

Thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my blog today.  I hope you guys are getting ready for Christmas and that you have a blessed Christmas this holiday season!!!!

I used a couple of doilies and white ink to stamp the punched scallop circle with My Craft Spot, Bon Appetite stamp set.  I'm so glad to be here today to share my love for My Craft Spot products and hope you enjoyed seeing my project.

Head on over to My Craft Spot now and see what awesome deals Kimberly has in store today.

Happy Thanksgiving & Blogging Update...

Hi Everyone,
I'm popping in today to share my family's Thanksgiving cards with you all.  I plan to mail them out tomorrow, but wanted to share them here with you guys first.
I used papers by Recollections for my card base and papers from Stampin Up for the mat.  The patterned paper is also Stampin Up from the  Sweater Weather Designer Paper Series.  The stamp I used is by Meljen's Designs it's their Fall Badge digital stamp. I purchased it last year and remembered it this year.  I nearly let Fall get by without using it, that would have been a crime!
I used a few copics to color the image.  The stamp is from My Craft Spot's Happy Fall stamp set. I used Spellbinder's Scalloped Circles die along with My Favorite Things Stitched Circle die to put the image on and added a little ribbon and twine.
I added a couple of swipes of my Wink of Stella pen for a little sparkle on the pumpkin and leaf to make it festive!  I hope you enjoyed checking out my Thanksgiving cards and hope you are not like me and waited so late to get yours in the mail. :-D
I would first like to say THANK YOU!! to everyone that stops by and visits my blog.  I appreciate your visits so much.  I am not blogging or blog visiting nearly as much as I used to and for that I apologize for the time you take out of your busy days to stop in and see what's new with me when I rarely do the same.  By no means have I stopped blogging, but my blog post will probably only be a few posts a month.  With work and me knitting like a crazy person, it's hard to do it all. Right now I'm making a blanket for my Mom for Christmas that I plan to leave with her when we visit next week for Thanksgiving.  I will continue to blog and posts as often as I can and will make an honest effort in getting by to visit you guys too, so with that THANK YOU AGAIN, for you visits and lovely comments and I wish you and your family a very blessed and...

Boss's Day Treats

Hi Bloggers!!!
I thought I would share the Boss's Day treat bags I made for my managers.  Most of you know I'm an Administrative Assistant and I support several people.  I'm not able to give each individual person an awesome gift to show how AWESOME they are, but I am able to give them a little something to let them know I enjoy working with them.
I took this picture with my iPhone just before leaving for work that day so probably not the best images, but you get the idea.  I used my Cricut to cut the tags from the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge using papers from Stampin Up.  Those deliciously delightful cookies are Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies Dark Chocolate I placed them in medium plastic bags added the tag,  ribbon and twine to make them special and TA-DA!!
They really loved them and it made me feel good to know that they enjoyed them.  The funny thing is around 3:30pm in the afternoon a few of the managers came to me and thanked me profusely for the nice afternoon treat!  I don't know about you but it warms my heart to do little things for people.  It doesn't take a lot to brighten someone's day.

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Halloween Tag

Hi there!
I hope you all are having a great day!  I am.  The weather is beautiful, a great start to Fall with cooler temperatures and Fall's beautiful colors are on grand display here in Georgia.

I'm popping in today to share a Halloween tag I made.  I was playing around with ideas for a few candy bags I'm working on and this is what I decided on.  One down and a few more to go...

I used the cute Halloween stamps from Lawn Fawn's Critters in Costume stamp set for the little doggie in the pumpkin and also used the matching die to cut it out.
The sentiment stamp is from Inky Antics Halloween Monsters HoneyPOP set.  You all know when I have to mass produce things I like to keep in simple and affordable.  I hate blowing throw my stash for one project.

I think most of you know by now that I'm spending a lot more time knitting.  I guess you can say the bug bit and it bit HARD!  I hope to get around to do some blog visits this week and show some BLOG LOVE to you!  Thanks so much for stopping by I am always so happy that you took the time to come and see what I've been up to.

Have a fabulous day!!!

Saturday Knitting

Hi there,
I told you all that I was going to share what's on my knitting needles and since I'm about to head over to my big comfy chair, I thought I'd take a few pictures of my knitting so you can see what I'm working on.
This is called the Compatto Cowl I saw it on Pinterest and purchased the yarn from Noble Knits.  I love this cowl, seems like it will go nicely with a white t-shirt, jeans and boots this Fall. That was my thinking when I decided to knit it up.  It's a super easy knit and I call it my on-the-go knitting, no focus or thinking required.
Here's the shawl I'm working on.  It's called the Labor Day Shawl. It's not a hard one either, but a little attention has to be given to the lace work on the bottom.
I really liked the mix of colors and it's knitting up nicely.  I purchased this yarn at my local yarn store.  I hope to finish it by next weekend, get it blocked and who knows, I just might model it for you.
These are just two my works in progress.  I'm also knitting a blanket for my mom as a Christmas present but didn't pull it our for pictures today, maybe another time.  It's not a small project for table top snapshots. :-D

I will be back next week with a little paper crafting fun for you.  Thanks so much for taking a peek at my knitting.  I'm so glad you stopped by.

Have a fabulous weekend!!

Hi there!
How are you?  I'm busy, busy, busy!  It's the good kind of busy, not the overwhelmed crazy kind. There's a difference you know.  Over the weekend I decided to put away my knitting needles long enough to make a few cards.  Here's a fun Halloween card I created.
I used papers by Stampin Up and the pattern paper is from a huge DCWV paper stack, hang on let me get the name of it is, The Halloween and Fall Stack.  Some really nice sheets in this one.
I used my Cricut to cut the cat image from the Happy Hauntings cartridge.  I added googley eyes to make him look spooky!  Boo!
Later this week I'm going to share what's on my knitting needles.  It's been a while since I've done that.  Thanks so much for stopping by today, I'm so glad you did!
